I have been natural since August 2014 and along the way (of course) I have hit snags in learning how to maintain my natural hair. I went through with the big chop and the reason so was because of damage. Heat damage, chemical damage, manipulation damage, you name it. I was not taking good care of my hair. It forced me to take care of my hair because when I first cut it 

I was unhappy with my appearance. I washed my hair every Sunday, oiled my scalp every other day, and moisturised it every night. As far as products I really did not know what to use in the beginning so I stuck with the same shampoo, conditioners, and oils that I was using when my hair was relaxed.

Although my hair was growing some what I know now that I would have had better results had I used products that caters to hair in its natural state. 

So now Im very much in love with my hair. I style my own hair I LOVE protective styles. Because I have really thick coarse hair is the main reason lol. But seriously this saves time and my hair. When Im getting ready for work or any kind of outing all I have to do is remove my scarf.........thats it. 

I'm so glad,happy, joyful that my hair natural (large thanks to my fiance). I don't have to worry about if my hair is "nappy" or presentable when I leave my home. Because natural hair comes in so many variations of patterns and I could make a mistake and be uhappy with a hairstyle and people will

give compliments  Not to mention that most of the products smell like tropical

paradise!
